PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
- Hold down the up and down buttons and set the power switch to ON.
The power/battery indicator lights up green.
- Release your finger when the guitar wireless indicator (white) and the Bluetooth indicator (blue) flash rapidly twice.
Shortly after, these two indicators start to flash slowly or go off as shown below to indicate the version, and then this is repeated.Guitar Wireless (White) Bluetooth (Blue) Ver.1.03 flashes (once) flashes (3 times) Ver.1.10 flashes (once) flashes (4 times) Ver.1.20 flashes (once) flashes (5 times) - Turn off the power.

Additional Functions
- The EV-1-WL wireless MIDI expression pedal is now supported.
- You can control PEDAL WAH and FOOT VOLUME using the EV-1-WL pedal.
- The CTL1 and CTL2 jacks on the EV-1-WL can now be used to switch patches, turn effects on and off, and return panning to its default state.
- It is now possible to use the BOSS TONE STUDIO for WAZA-AIR app to set the respective functions of the pedal and of CTL1 and CTL2.
- It is now possible to turn off movement of the sonic image by the gyro sensor.
- The BOSS TONE STUDIO for WAZA-AIR app is required.
- It is now possible to fix in place and to replicate the position of the sonic image when POSITION TYPE is set to STATIC or STAGE.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR WAZA-AIR

- Micro USB cable
* The update is carried out with the unit and the computer connected via USB.
* You can use the USB cable that comes with the WAZA-AIR. - Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
- Never apply this update data to any product other than the WAZA-AIR. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
- Never power-off your WAZA-AIR while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the WAZA-AIR won't be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs. - We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Please open/extract the downloaded "waza_air_sys_v120.zip" file on your computer to get the "waza_air_sys_v120" folder.

PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
- Turn off the power.
- Detach the WAZA-AIR's right-hand ear pad.
Detach the sponge fitted into SERVICE.
The sponge is held in place by weakly adhesive tape. While pressing down on the tape with your fingertip to create a gap at the top, insert tweezers or the tip of the pen into the gap and peel off the tape.
- Connect a Micro-USB cable to the SERVICE (USB) connector.
- Hold down the up and down buttons and set the power switch to ON.

- The Guitar Wireless (white) and Bluetooth (blue) LEDs light up.
A folder named WAZA-AIR appears on the computer. - Copy the two update-use files inside the waza_air_sys_v120 folder (WAZA-AIR.BIN and ROMINFO.TXT) to the WAZA-AIR folder.
- From Safely Remove Hardware (the lower-right icon on the computer), click Eject WAZA-AIR.
- Detach the USB cable from the SERVICE connector.
* Be sure the end of the cable that you disconnect is the one that is connected to the SERVICE connector.
The white LED flashes and the blue LED lights up steadily.
- Press the down button on the left side.
Wait approximately 30 seconds. When the white LED lights up steadily and the blue LED starts to flash, the update is complete.
- Turn off the power.
- Be sure to put the sponge back in place before attaching the ear pads.
