ME-90 System Program ( Ver.1.03 )

HOW TO TELL THE VERSION
Please check the version of the system working on your ME-90 before downloading the archive file.
  1. Turn [OUTPUT LEVEL] knob counterclockwise (minimun).
  2. Hold down [WRITE] button and Push [POWER] switch. Then it will turn on.
    3. The display indicates the current system version.
    The display shows minor version.
    If "01" is displayed, system version is Ver.1.01.
  3. Turn off the Power.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR ME-90
  • ME-90
  • USB cable
  • Micro USB cable (Dedicated charging cables cannot be used.)
    * The update is carried out with the unit and the computer connected via USB.
    * Provide a cable suitable for connection to the computer you're using.
  • Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
  • Never apply this update data to any product other than the ME-90. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
  • Never power-off your ME-90 while the update is in progress!
    If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the ME-90 won't be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
  • We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Please open/extract the downloaded "me90_sys_v103.zip" file on your computer to get the "me90_sys_v103" folder.
Please make sure you have unzipped the downloaded update file.
PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
Caution
  • You must not rename the extracted file.
  • Never turn off the ME-90's power while the update is in progress. Otherwise the system program or the ME-90 itself may be destroyed.
Please install the extracted system program file into your ME-90 according to the following procedure.
  1. Hold down the [EXIT] button and [WRITE] button, and push [POWER] switch. Then it will turn on.
    the message "UP" appears on the display, and the LED "tuning guide" are blinking slowly.
  2. Connect the computer by a USB cable.
    A "ME-90" icon (drive) appears on the computer.
  3. Open the "ME-90" icon.
    Copy (drag and drop) all the files included in the "me90_sys_v103" folder into the "ME-90" icon.
  4. After the copy is complete, eject the "ME-90" icon(drive) from the computer.
    [With Windows computer]
    Right-click on the "ME-90" icon in My Computer (or the "Removable Disk (*:)" icon) and execute "Eject."
    [With Mac computer]
    Drag the "ME-90" icon to the Trush icon in the Dock.
  5. Disconnect the USB cable form ME-90. Then it will start updating.
    the LED "tuning guide" are blinking quickly.
  6. When the update is complete, the message "OK" appears on the display.
    Then push [POWER] switch to turn off the power.
