HOW TO TELL THE VERSION
Please check the version of the system working on your IR-200 before downloading the archive file.
  1. Hold down the [ MENU ] button and turn on the power.
  2. The current version is shown on the display.

Functionality Improvements
  • The EXP HOLD function now also works on values set from MIDI EXP CC.
Bug Fixes
The following bugs have been fixed.
  • Parameter operations made by a MIDI control change message simultaneously with a change in memory to MEMORY are not applied.
  • When AMP TYPE is set to CONCERT BASS, then depending on the combination of input sounds, noise in output audio increases.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR IR-200
  • IR-200
  • USB cable
    * The update is carried out with the unit and the computer connected via USB.
    * Provide a cable suitable for connection to the computer you're using.
  • Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
  • Never apply this update data to any product other than the IR-200. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
  • Never power-off your IR-200 while the update is in progress!
    If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the IR-200 won't be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
  • We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Please open/extract the downloaded "ir200_sys_v102.zip" file on your computer to get the "ir200_sys_v102" folder.
Please make sure you have unzipped the downloaded update file.
PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
Caution
  • You must not rename the extracted file.
  • Never turn off the IR-200's power while the update is in progress. Otherwise the system program or the IR-200 itself may be destroyed.
Please install the extracted system program file into your IR-200 according to the following procedure.
  1. Hold down the [ MEMORY ] knob and turn on the power.
    The message "IR-200 UPDATER" will appear on the display.
  2. Connect the computer to the IR-200's USB port by a USB cable.
    The message "USB CONNECTED." will appear on the display.
  3. Open the IR-200 icon.
    * "Removable Disk (*:)" may appear instead of the IR-200 icon.
  4. Copy (drag and drop) all the files included in the "ir200_sys_v102" folder into the "IR-200" icon.
    * Do not copy the "ir200_sys_v102" folder.
  5. Disconnect the IR-200 from the computer.
    [ With Windows computer ]
    Right-click on the "IR-200" icon in My Computer (or the "Removable Disk (*:)" icon) and execute "Eject."
    [ With Mac computer ]
    Drag the "IR-200" icon to the Trush icon in the Dock.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable.
    The message "PUSH [ENTER] TO START" will appear on the display.
    Press [ MEMORY ] knob to start the update process.
  7. The message "COMPLETED." will appear on the display when the update process completes.
  8. Turn the IR-200 power off.
