AC-22LX System Program ( Ver.1.02 )

HOW TO TELL THE VERSION
Please check the version of the system working on your AC-22LX before downloading the archive file.
  1. Set [AIR FEEL] knob to "AB".
  2. Hold down [MEMORY] button and turn on the [POWER] switch.
  3. If the indicators light up as described below, the system is at the latest version.
    • The "POWER" indicator lights up red.
    • The "REC" indicator lights up red.
    * Don't perform the update if the product is already up-to-date.
  4. Turn off the Power.

Additional Functions
  • With Version 1.02, you can now adjust the playback volume using the audio controls on the iOS device or computer when using Standard OS USB Driver mode on the AC-22LX.
    * When using a computer, we recommend that you install the appropriate driver for your system (macOS or Windows) and use the Dedicated USB Driver mode on the AC-22LX. This ensures full audio functionality, plus the ability to adjust sounds and settings from your computer via the AC-22LX Editor software.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR UPDATE
  • AC-22LX
  • USB cable
  • Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0/3.0.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
  • Never apply this update data to any product other than the AC-22LX. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
  • Never power-off your AC-22LX while the update is in progress!
    If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the AC-22LX won't be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
  • We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
DOWNLOADING AND UNARCHIVING THE COMPRESSED FILE
  1. Read the software license agreement at the bottom of the screen and select the "I agree" check box.
  2. Click the "Download" button to download the system program (ac22lx_sys_v102.zip).
  3. Unarchive the downloaded file.
    • Windows: Right-click the file and select "Extract All", then click "Extract".
    • Mac: Double-click the file to unzip it.
  4. ac22lx_sys_v102" folder appears.
    *DO NOT rename the files (AC-22LX.BIN, ROMINFO.TXT) in the folder.
UPDATE PROCEDURE
  1. Hold down [TAP TEMPO] button and turn on the [POWER] switch.
  2. Connect the AC-22LX's USB port to the computer by a USB cable.
  3. Copy the updater "AC-22LX.BIN" and "ROMINFO.TXT" in the "ac22lx_sys_v102" folder to the level immediately displayed on accessing the AC-22LX drive (the AC-22LX drive's root directory).
  4. After copying is complete, eject the AC-22LX drive according to your OS specs or settings.
    *For Mac, drag the AC-22LX drive to the trash icon.
  5. Disconnect the USB cable from the USB port on the AC-22LX.
    *Be sure to disconnect it from the USB port on the AC-22LX unit.
    The update starts. While the update is in progress, the [REC] LED lights up and the [PLAY] LED blinks.
    When the [REC], [PLAY], and [DUB] LEDs all blink simultaneously, the update is finished.
  6. Turn off the Power.
